DUMAGUETE CITY, May 21 (PIA) -- Dumaguete City tested for free around 6,380 COVID-19 suspected cases who are either close contacts of confirmed COVID-19 patients or have manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI).
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah Talla confirmed that the city currently has 155 active COVID-19 cases, 639 recoveries, and 38 deaths since the pandemic affected the city from Jan. 30, 2020 to May 20, 2021.

The City Health Office has a team of medical technologists deployed to conduct swab tests on direct contacts of COVID-19 cases and persons with symptoms of ILI on a daily basis.
