Negosyo Center Sampaloc-Tanay equips MSMES in photography, editing

DTI-Rizal's Negosyo Center Sampaloc Tanay holds its first webinar on April 30 featuring Basic Photography and Photo Editing. (DTI4A)

ANTIPOLO CITY, Rizal, May 11-- The Department of Trade and Industry - Rizal Provincial Office through the Negosyo Center Sampaloc-Tanay recently spearheaded a photography and photo editing webinar benefitting local Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.

NC Sampaloc-Tanay's first virtual seminar was conducted on April 30. Business Counselor Aryan Llamares highlighted the importance of high-quality photography for MSME’s social media and digital channels in order to capitalize on their products and services.

Prior the start of the webinar, DTI-Rizal Business Development Division Chief Sharon Dioco thanked The Tanay Municipal Government and Epson Philippines in behalf of DTI Rizal Provincial Director Desiderio Jurado III for making the training possible.

Mr. Luis Cruz, Epson Ph Pre-Sales Engineer, presented Epson’s photo and proofing printers and discussed different printers which are suitable for a specific medium for printing that MSMEs use in packaging and labeling of products.

While Albert Pedrosa, Canon Professional and Certified Adobe Expert, served as the speaker for basic photo editing, handling, posing, and lighting the subject for photography.

He discussed basic principles such as the rule of thirds, composition, story, patters diagonal lines and triangles as well as technical aspects such as the roles of the aperture, shutter speed, ISO, focal length, temperature and focusing.

Pedrosa also stated during the webinar, that a balance between technical and creative sides of photography should be achieved.

MSME participants were then given an opportunity to raise questions to the speakers through an open forum which included questions from both Zoom and Facebook Live participants.

Bienvenido Magpantay of the Tanay Municipal Government then concluded the webinar by thanking the organizers, speakers, Epson Philippines, and DTI Rizal, for efforts in the development of MSMEs and potential business owners in Tanay through capability building activities.
