CALOOCAN CITY, May 25 (PIA) -- Mandaluyong City Mayor Menchie Abalos on Tuesday said the local government has sought the aid of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to look into the alleged vaccine and vaccine slot for sale scheme in the city.

“Ibinigay po niya po sa amin ang full support,” Abalos said, citing NBI Director Dante Gierran who committed some 50 members of the agency to help in the investigation.

Abalos, however, said that she cannot yet disclose any details of the investigation.

The mayor, meanwhile, warned city and health officials that they will not only be sacked but will face charges if they are found to be involved in the alleged selling of vaccine slots.

Abalos said the city also conducts reshuffling in vaccination sites to prevent the occurrence of any illegal activities. (PIA NCR)
