Gov Dax inspects, groundbreaks infra projects in Maddela

MADDELA, Quirino, May 21 (PIA)—Governor Dakila Carlo E. Cua, together with Maddela Mayor Rimel Tolentino, Barangay Captain Reynald Juan and DPWH Assistant District Engineer Arnold Sabug recently led the groundbreaking ceremony of the Water Treatment Plant and Distribution Facilities in Barangay San Pedro in this town.

The  project which costs ₱100 million will provide high quality potable water to service areas of Maddela Water District.

This is part of the  funds requested by Governor Dax Cua and Representative Junie E. Cua from the national government  for the establishment of  filtration system and water treatment system reservoir  to solve the long-standing problem of potable water supply in some parts of the province.

Cua also directed the Tourism Office to  work on the development of the Maddela Water System Project Water Reservoir as a tourist attraction and Viewpoint which is perfect for its location.

“Despite the pandemic, weshould continue building the foundations for better service to our people and the continuing development of our province,” Cua said

After the groundbreaking  ceremony, Cua also inspected the ongoing construction of the ₱500 million  four lanes  road  of San Pedro Bridge,  ₱100 million  worth  Ngilinan Bridge and the  ₱82 million Flood Control Project along Cagayan River.

Cua said these projects will boost  Maddela’s position as business and economic hub.

“[[Ka]pag natapos ang mga tulay, mas mabilis na ang paglalakbay ng mga mamamayan patungong Aurora Province at Eastern Maddela.  Mas mabilis na ring mararating ang mga tourist destination ng ating lalawigan sa Sierra Madre Mountain Range," Cua said. (MDCT/TCB/PIA 2-Quirino)
