Good News: Fort Santiago, Baluarte de San Diego in Intramuros re-opens to visitors

PASIG CITY, May 18 (PIA) -- The Intramuros Administration (IA) today announced the re-opening to the public of two of its historical sites within the historic walls of Intramuros in the City of Manila.

According to the Intramuros Administration, Fort Santiago will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with last entry will be at 6 p.m. 

Entrance fee will be at P75 for adults and P50 for students, PWD and senior citizens.

Payments can be made via cash or PayMaya.

Maximum capacity to be allowed will be 200 persons at a time.

On the other hand, for the Baluarte de San Diego, it will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with last entry will be at 4 p.m.

Likewise, entrance fee will be at P75 for adults and P50 for students, PWD and senior citizens.

Payments can also be made via cash or PayMaya.

While a total of 100 individuals will be allowed at a time to avoid crowding.

The administration also said that only visitors ages 18 to 65 years old will be allowed to visit said sites.

However, the Dungeons, Museo ni Rizal, Asean Gardens, and other sites remain closed to the public until further notice.

Visitors are encouraged also to follow proper health and safety protocols during visit. (PIA NCR)
