The distribution of CLOAs involved the 68-hectares but not more than 3 hectares per beneficiaries lot numbers 1233 and 1235 previously owned by Sanciangco, Sue and Jumilla Family situated in Barangay Mabini, Baliangao.

DAR Regional Director Zoraida Omar Macadindang lauded DAR-MisOcc personnel and their significance on the success of Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) implementation in the province.

She also urged the beneficiaries to treasure the government’s benefits for them saying, “Do not sell nor lease your land title. Cultivate the land and make it productive. DAR officials and employees have gone the extra mile and put unwavering effort to award this title to you in order to help you outgrow your status in life.”

For their part, Macadindang said DAR ensures assistance through the distribution of land to the qualified ARBs, implementation of support services through projects of the Agrarian Reform Organization, and delivery of agrarian justice.

“The department continues to live its mandate to serve you, our farmer-beneficiaries. Now that you have attained your dreams to till, farm and become the landowners of your respective areas, keep in mind to pay your taxes and other obligations,” Macadindang said.

Meanwhile, DAR OIC Provincial Director Rolando Libetario encouraged the farmer beneficiaries to organize a group for them to receive support services and interventions from DAR.

During the installation and distribution, DAR Assistant Regional Director for Administration Seny Fe Fabe urged the farmer beneficiaries to take care of the land saying, “Akong hangyo ninyo nga ampingan gyud ninyo ang CLOAs. Inyoha sad ni nga sumbangan nga mausab sad ang kahimtang sa inyong pamilya ug mga anak. Isip taga DAR, higugmaa kana inyong yuta sama sa pamilyang Sue nga ila sad gi-ampingan pag ayo.”

(I urge you to take good care of the CLOAs. This will help you change the situation of your family and children. As part of DAR, we ask you to value the land just like what the Sue family did)

Teogenes Pangasinan, one of the ARBs, expressed his gratitude to DAR and to the land owners after receiving his CLOA saying, “We have been praying for this to happen for almost 28 years. We are happy that despite several challenges we have gone through to claim these titles, they are now in our hands.”

DAR also shared the implementation of EO3 series of 2020 wherein the Agrarian Reform will provide land not more than three hectares to the agriculture graduates. (SMRN/PIA Misamis Occidental)
