Rizal, Paco Parks remain closed to public during MECQ

PASIG CITY, April 12 (PIA) -- Following President Rodrigo Roa Duterte's approval on Sunday to revert Metro Manila back into a more lenient modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ), the National Parks Development Committee (NPDC) announced that Rizal Park and Paco Park will remain closed to the public.

To all our park visitors, Rizal Park and Paco Park will remain closed to the public during the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) until April 30, 2021.”

On Sunday, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque announced that the NCR Plus (Bulacan, Laguna, Cavite, Rizal) will be placed under MECQ until end of April after being placed under a two-week enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in order to curb COVID-19 cases.

Meanwhile, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chair Benhur Abalos said that the Metro Manila mayors have agreed to implement unified curfew hours from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. starting today until the end of MECQ on April 30. (PIA NCR)
