P20M highway road rehab in Sta. Maria nears completion

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, April 22 (PIA) - The Department of Public Works and Highways - 1st District Engineering Office (DPWH-1DEO) has reported that the P20 million national road rehabilitation project in Sta. Maria town is about to be completed.

OIC DPWH-1DEO head Engr. Deoferio Vehemete Jr said the road repair project covers the reblocking of the 3.055 lane kilometers of damaged pavements to provide better road for traveling public as transport of goods and services will surely improve for motorists plying Tuguegarao City-Santiago City route and vice versa.

“Travelers in the locality of Sta. Maria, Isabela will soon experience ease in mobility once this project will be fully completed,” Vehemente said.

Vehemente added the project will serve as pathway towards a safer and resilient road infrastructure improving the over-all socio-economic condition of the populace and in northern Luzon. (BME/MGE- PIA-2/Isabela)
