Isabela City tops COVID19 TF Functionality Award as Component City in ZamPen

Isabela City, Basilan April 22 (PIA) – The Isabela City Local Task Force Against COVID-19 emerged as the Top1 Most Functional COVID-19 Task Force – Component City Category in Region 9 with an over-all score of 96 points during the assessment conducted recently to assess their compliance in setting up policies and directives against COVID-19.

During the assessment, Isabela City Local TF Against COVID19 chaired by Mayor Sitti Djalia T. Hataman presented all the necessary documents supporting their efforts against COVID-19. The assessment was conducted using and assessment tool developed by other partner agencies and approved by the RIAT and RTF-COVID19 to scale up the resilience of the local task force against the emerging infectious diseases as per DILG Regional Memorandum Circular 2021-001.
After the Regional Assessment, DILG Region IX recognized the LGUs through the “Gawad Tanglaw sa Pandemya: Awards for the Most Functional COVID-19 Task Force in Region IX.
Isabela City represented by Mr. Jaime A. Rivera received the award and a cash prize of P40,000 on April 20, 2021 in Pagadian City.
Mayor Sitti Djalia T. Hataman  in her facebook post, expressed her gratitude to DILG IX for the recognition and committed to uphold national, regional and provincial policies.
“ Our sincerest thanks to DILG IX for this recognition. In behalf of Isabela de Basilan and her people, we accept this award with renewed commitment to serve and protect our city from this pandemic, especially in light of the recent surge. We commit to uphold national, regional and provincial policies, while introducing our own initiatives responsive to our local concerns and realities”, she said in her facebook post.
Mayor Hataman also thanks all their partners and members of the Local Task Force on COVID19 for all their supports.
“ Faced with our own difficulties and limitations, we thank all our partners in both government and private institutions, and call on their continuing support”, she added in her post.
