DepEd6 launches ‘Brigada Opisina’

ILOILO CITY, April 7 (PIA) – The Department of Education (DepEd) in Western Visayas recently launched the ‘Brigada Opisina’ to maintain clean, orderly, and safe workplaces.

Dr. Lea Belleza, DepEd 6 information officer, said that a jingle for the Brigada Opisina initiative was also launched and was performed with the help of some teachers from the Schools Division Offices of Iloilo City and Iloilo Province.

“It was such an enjoyable and exciting experience for everyone. Indeed, a beautiful office makes a happy workplace,” she said.

Belleza shared that one of the initial challenges met by the newly-installed DepEd 6 regional director Dr. Ramir Uytico was maintaining cleanliness in the workplace.

“The personnel who are on skeleton work force cleaned up, beautified and improved every nook and cranny to give the workplace a comfortable, homelike and an impressive welcoming ambience,” she said.

The project was spearheaded by the Human Resource Development Division and was primarily implemented in the premises of DepEd Regional Office-6. (JSC/LTP/PIA6 Iloilo/Thumbnail Photo courtesy of Lea Belleza)
