San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora recovers from COVID-19, to report to office on Monday

CALOOCAN CITY, March 14 (PIA) -- San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora will be physically reporting to work on Monday, March 15, after he has recovered from COVID-19, Sunday.

In his message to media members covering the city, Mayor Francis announced and posted the clearance that he has received from his doctor at the Cardinal Santos Medical Center.

"He [Zamora] is now deemed clinically recovered, cleared of COVID-19 and can be reintegrated back into the community," a medical clearance signed by Dr. Paul Salandanan said. 

Dr. Salandanan also said that Zamora was in his care from March 1 to 14, and that the mayor was "asymptomatic" and showed no signs for COVID-19.

"Receiving my medical clearance from Dr. Paul Salandanan, my infectious disease doctor who along with Cardinal Santos Medical Center took good care of me during my 14 day quarantine. I am now clinically recovered and free of COVID-19. I have been cleared to be reintegrated back into the community following WHO and DOH guidelines," the mayor said on his part.

"Thank you very much for all your prayers and well wishes. Very much appreciated. Please always stay safe by observing all health and safety protocols," he added.

"More than 14 days have elapsed since he tested positive ," he further said.

Zamora subjected himself to a swab test on February 28, the result of which came out on March 1. He has also been working from the hospital since March 1. (PIA NCR)
