Quezon LGU gets over P26M infra projects from mine firm

QUEZON, Nueva Vizcaya, March 28 (PIA) - Mayor Dolores Binwag here said several infrastructure projects have been funded and constructed by the Australian mine firm as part of its share for the development of this town's barangays.

She said through the FCF Minerals Corporation, infrastructure development and support services worth more than P26 million have been implemented last year.

"These infrastructure projects benefited 14,438 villagers in our various barangays. We are grateful for these projects since we cannot do it alone, with the mine firm's presence, we have a partner for our municipality's development and progress," Binwag said.

FCF Minerals Corporation's report to the mayor showed that the company has spent more than P22 million with 26.97 percent completed programs, projects and activities and 89.91 percent physical accomplishment.

Binwag said these projects are the completed improvement of Farm - to - Market Road (FMR) in barangay Nalubbunan, improvement of barangay road in Sitio Cabinnuangan in barangay Runruno, improvement of irrigation canal in Sitio San Juan in barangay Boliwao, improvement of FMR in Sitio Atan in barangay Antutot in Kasibu town and continuation of FMR in barangay Don Mariano Perez in Diffun, Qurino.

Others were the construction of hanging bridge at Purok 4 in barangay Maasin, FMR in barangay Bonifacio, improvement of barangay road in barangay Darubba, improvement of FMR in Purok 7-8 in barangay /antutot in Kasibu town, construction of multi-purpose drying pavement in barangay Calaocan and barangay Runruno, basketball court in Sitio Compiund in barangay Runruno, improvement of barangay road in barangay Caliat and Maddiangat and the construction of hanging bridge in Sitio Ubon in barangay Papaya in Kasibu town.

Binwag said these projects have been funded and implemented through the Social (MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
