Nueva Vizcaya reaches 93% road clearing rate

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, March 7(PIA) - Officials of the Department of the Interior and Local Government(DILG) recently praised the provincial and municipal leaders here with the 93.6981 percent rate that the province achieved on the implementation of the Road Clearing Campaign.


Luis Udanga, DILG Cluster head said the good percentage rate that the province achieved on the government's Road Clearing Campaign covers 2020 among the 15 municipalities of Nueva Vizcaya.

"We fared well and we hope that we will sustain our road clearing achievement if not to improve it further," he said during the recent Joint Meeting of the Provincial Peace and Order Council(PPOC), Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC) and Provincial Task Force (PTF)- End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC).

Udanga also praised the efforts of the municipal mayors in showing their aggressive, committed and dedicated actions on the Road Clearing Campaign.
He also expressed optimism that the aggressive local government unit campaign in the province will soon institutionalize the law on Road Clearing.

Udanga said the Road Clearing Campaign prohibits debris along the roads, illegal parking, and extended structures, among others which also served as the criteria in rating the compliance and achievements of the LGUs in their respective jurisdictions.

The Road Clearing rates of the province's 15 local government units are as follows: Alfonso Castaneda - 85.6, Ambaguio - 98.2, Aritao - 87.03, Bagabag - 96.92, Bambang - 97.78, Bayombong - 94.91, Diadi - 85, Dupax del Norte - 99.82, Dupax del Sur - 97.5012, Kasibu - 97.05, Kayapa - 99.86, Quezon - 97.23, Sta, Fe - 99.5, Solano - 97.28 and Villaverde - 97.807.
