Ifugao establishes COVID-19 provincial TTMF

LAMUT, Ifugao, March 19 (PIA) - - The provincial government unit (PLGU) has established a 15-bed capacity Provincial Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility (PTTMF) to  provide proper management of COVID 19 cases.

The PLGU converted the Provincial Livelihood Center into a temporary facility until a permanent structure is constructed. It will be managed by Angelina Dalipog of the Provincial Governor’s Office.

The 15-bed capacity facility will cater to confirmed, asymptomatic and mild non-admissible cases by hospitals and step-down cases from level one hospitals and from municipalities with full-occupancy bed facilities.

“This is to provide proper management of COVID 19 cases in the province by preventing transmission through early detection and prompt isolation at proper designated facilities,” Provincial Health Officer Priscilla Pagada said.

It is also pursuant to Department of the Interior and Local Government’s memorandum circular for the establishment of special care facilities and isolation units this COVID-19 pandemic.

Department of Health (DOH) Officer Agustina Noces said the PLGU should comply with the minimum standards and requirements of a temporary facility in order to be licensed by DOH and be accredited by PhilHealth.  (JDP/MBL-PIA CAR, Ifugao with report from Sunshine Winnan/Happitan staff)
