DOT, PLGU open local tourism sites in Vizcaya

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, March 7 (PIA) - The Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Provincial Government have opened various local tourism sites in the province with its Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) status.

Marichelle Costales, Supervising Tourism Operations officer said the various tourism attractions in the towns of Santa Fe, Aritao, Dupax Del Sur, Dupax Del Norte, Bambang and Bayombong have been declared as open for Novo Vizcayanos by the DOT recently.

"These potential agri-farm, historical, cultural, adventure and ecotourism sites have been opened after an assessment of the DOT regarding the readiness of the host municipalities to cater to the needs of visitors and guests including their health protocol measures," she said.

The following local tourism sites which were opened in the province for the first quarter of the year are the Alfonso Castaneda town's Galituja Falls and Banag’s Farm, Ambaguio's Paragliding, Aritao's Mt. Malussong, ATV Adventure, RVS Nature’s Park and Paradise Agri-Tourism Farm, Bagabag's Reginaldo’s Farm and Palaisdaan Resort, Bambang's Buag Bantay View Park, Laguerta Falls, Bambang Integrated Agri-Tourism and Learning Site (BIATALS), Banti Falls and San Antonio Lake, Bayombong's Casat Falls, Bantian Falls, Courage Mountain Farm, Paitan Flower Farm, Macababbad’s Orchidarium and the People’s Museum and Library, Diadi's Lower Magat Eco Tourism Park(LMETP), Dupax Del Norte's Binuangan Sea of Clouds and Naruron Falls, Dupax Del Sur's Reyes Farm, and Sta. Catalina Mountain Resort, Villaverde's Resorts.

The assessment of the local tourism sites in the province was supported by the Provincial Tourism Council (PTC) to open-up livelihood among the tourism stakeholders, funfare and adventure among Novo Vizcayanos. (MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
