"CleanCamiguinQR is the official unified contact tracing and monitoring system in the Province of Camiguin to keep our citizens and tourism safe and healthy," Gov. Jurdin Jesus Romualdo said.

All residents of the island regardless of age will need to register and secure their own QR code so they can enter establishments, offices, institutions, and even churches starting March 15.

"Those who are coming in the province for whatever reason;  essential, emergency returning local residents and visitors kinahanglan mag-register sa usa makasulod sa probinsya aside sa PCR [polymerase chain reaction] test nila (will need to register before they can enter the province aside from the PCR test required by the LGU)," Romualdo added.

To register, one will just need an active email address and phone number. One may also use his or her email and phone number to register other members of the family.  A one-time password (OTP) will be sent to the user to complete the registration.

One must also secure his or her latest photo along with a valid identification card.

The governor said the system is completely secured in compliance to data privacy act and only trusted personnel can access the data.

Those who do not have smartphones may register through their respective local government units (LGUs). QR codes may be printed or saved in the phone gallery so the user can just easily scan the code with his or her details to enter an establishment or office.

Romualdo also reminded the residents to safeguard their QR code and avoid posting or sharing such in social media for privacy.

Developed by Infosoft, CleanCamiguinQR can be accessed through www.cleancamiguinqr.com. The provincial government will also notify residents if the CleanCamiguinQR is already available in the play store. (RTP/PIA10)
