1st KPMFC xtends assistance to 100 HH in Bulbul, Rizal

RIZAL, Kalinga, March 25 (PIA) - - One hundred households of barangay Bulbul this municipality benefit from project KaBADANG of the 1stKalinga Provincial Mobile Force Company (1stKPMFC) receiving  food packs, personal protective equipment, and school books.
In the outreach activity on March 23, distributed were assorted grocery goods, rice, face mask, face shield, T-shirts, and ethyl alcohol Also turned-over to the barangay council were 50 pieces of educational materials for K-12 senior high school students.
Due to strict guidelines banning mass gathering with the increasing COVID-19 cases, only 25 percent of the beneficiaries were allowed at the venue to personally receive their share. The barangay council continued the distribution house-to-house to comply with protocols.
The item were donated by Company Advisory Council (CAC) members, individual donors and contributions of 1stKPMFC personnel including IEC materials on COVID-19 prevention and on anti-insurgency.

CAC head Atty. Mark Zane Bongayon during the outreach appealed to the residents not to support the CPP-NPA-NDF organization. He urged them to refrain from giving any kind of assistance to communist terrorist groups (CTGs) or accommodating them in their homes.

 Barangay Chairman Rogelio Sapote Sr. expressed his gratitude to the unit, CAC members and donors for selecting his barangay as beneficiary. “No one will be left out, we will give every household a share from these gifts”, he said adding, “Rest assured that we are on the side of government on the fight against CTGs”.

Barangay Bulbul has more than 700 population identified with the Tobog tribe and is one of the poorest barangays of Rizal. The barangay council had approved a resolution declaring the CPP-NPA-NDF “persona non grata” in their jurisdiction.

 The 1stKPMFC covers the municipalities of Rizal, Pinukpuk, Tanudan and Tabuk city.  This first quarter of 2021, Rizal is the beneficiary oF the company’s  KaBADANG  social action project

 On  March 15, 1stKPMFC female personnel  delivered food packs to  two indigent families in barangay Macutay   to  help  them cope up with their hardship this pandemic.
On March 20, the company also conducted tree planting at Anonang participated by the   community, to keep the people aware on the importance of clean air through regreening movement. (JDP/PAB-PIA CAR, Kalinga)
