Las Piñas uses online, offline COVID vaccine pre-registration for residents

QUEZON CITY, Feb. 21 (PIA) -- The Las Piñas City Government has implemented both online and offline pre-registration for its COVID-19 vaccine rollout to effectively reach more residents and increase public uptake.

The pre-registration for vaccination in Las Piñas started on Monday, Feb. 15, and over 913 residents have signed up so far.

Mayor Imelda Aguilar said residents who wish to be vaccinated can either register manually or online.

For manual registration, Aguilar said a barangay representative will roam around communities and handout profiling forms to residents.

The form will determine whether the resident is qualified for vaccination or not.

Aguilar has earlier advised all barangay officials to conduct census in their respective areas of jurisdiction to determine the number of residents who are willing to be vaccinated.

On the other hand, residents who wish to register online, can scan the QR Code posted on the city’s official Facebook page or go to bit.ly/LasPinasVaccination.

The city government has also prepared a quick substitution list (QSL) in case a registrant backs out.

The mayor said the QSL was made to ensure that vaccines will not be wasted and will be given to those who are willing to be inoculated. (PIA NCR)
