DavSur LGUs continue minimum health protocol campaign

Coronavirus Awareness Response Empowerment (C.A.R.E.) infodemic drive in Malalag, Davao del Sur

DAVAO CITY, Feb. 15 (PIA)- Some municipalities in Davao del Sur are sustaining  their implementation of the PLGU’s ordinance on the minimum health protocols intensifying information drive about the COVID-19 virus.

In the municipality of Sta. Cruz, the Sta. Cruz Municipal Station headed by PMAJ Crisaldo R Gaila conducted an operation that ensures the implementation of the LGU’s ordinance on the community quarantine, especially on the residents’ compliance to the minimum health protocols such as wearing of face mask and face shield in public areas.

On the recent operations, the Sta. Cruz MPS personnel have issued citation tickets to 14 individuals for not wearing their face masks in public.

In the municipality of Padada, the Davao del Sur Provincial Police Office’s Coronavirus Awareness Response Empowerment (C.A.R.E.) team initiated an infodemic drive with the 30 Barangay Health Workers (BHW) in Barangay NCO District in Padada town.

The infodemic drive was spearheaded by DSPPO C.A.R.E. Team led by PLT LEAH D ORBUDA, along with FJGAD Officer of DSPPO, PNP personnel of Padada and Municipal Police Station led by PLT Rogelio L Torres Jr. Officer In-charge.

The BHWs also participated in a four-minute habit using “Voltes V” theme song and were given food packs and hygiene kits.

The CARE infodemic drive consisting of series of socio-civic activities was pursuant to the mandate of PNP Chief Police General Debold M. Sinas, which aims to attain maximum information dissemination in the fight against COVID-19.

The B.I.D.A. Solution Method and BIDA Isolation Tips were integrated in the infodemic drive.

PLT Rogelio L Torres Jr saw the importance to address this concern by reaching out every barangay in the municipality of Padada and ensuring that they can get accurate information about COVID-19. (PIA-XI/Samantha Jabol)
