PCSO donates P8-M to Pampanga

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, Jan. 26 (PIA) -- Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) donated PhP8 million to the provincial government to aid the province’s district hospitals in their operations.
Governor Dennis Pineda said the financial assistance will greatly help recipient hospitals provide for their patients’ needs including confinement and medicine.
Each beneficiary-hospital received PhP1 million check from PCSO, which was sourced out from the agency’s Endowment Fund Program.
During the turnover of financial aid, PCSO Pampanga Branch Manager Ma. Lourdes Soliman said the said aid is a way of giving back to the province for its unwavering support to the projects and activities of the agency.

“Just like how the province supports us, we also do the same to them. We try to give everything that our office can provide,” Soliman said.
She added that only eight district hospitals were given aid at the moment, but the remaining two will receive theirs soon.
Among the recipient hospitals include Domingo B. Flores District Hospital, Dr. Andres J. Luciano District Hospital, Jose Songco Lapid District Hospital, San Luis District Hospital, Escolastica Romero District Hospital, Mabalacat District Hospital, Romana Pangan District Hospital, and Dr. Emigdio C. Cruz, Sr. Memorial Hospital.
PCSO is a government agency that holds and conducts number games in order to provide permanent and continuing sources of funds for its programs that generally evolve in charities and health services. (CLJD/MJSC-PIA 3)
