BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Jan. 7 (PIA) - The Provincial COVID-19 Task Group (PCOVIDTG) has prioritized the procurement of COVID-19 vaccines once the local government units will be given the green light to do so.

Governor Carlos Padilla, chairperson of the PCOVIDTG yesterday has tapped the assistance of medical experts in the province to craft a proposal on the procurement, transportation and storage of the anti-COVID-19 vaccines for the province.

"We need to know the requirements and the facilities needed so we can study it and come up with proposals for its funding and management," he said during the recent joint PCOVIDTG and Provincial Health Board (PHB) meeting .

Padilla said the vaccines first priority will be the medical and health frontliners in the province since they are regularly exposed to COVID-19 patients.

He said the Techical Working Group that will study the proposed procurement of COVID-19 vaccines will be composed of medical experts and government agency officials.(MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
