PASIG CITY, Jan. 9 (PIA) -- The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has announced the shortened distance trips of the Pasig River Ferry Service (PRFS) this weekend.

In an advisory, MMDA said that the PRFS will operate in short distance trips only, from Pinagbuhatan in Pasig City to Sta. Ana in Manila City today and on Sunday, January 10.

MMDA said that operational stations are located at Pinagbuhatan, San Joaquin, Guadalupe, Hulo, Valenzuela, Lambingan, and Sta. Ana.

The PRFS serves as an alternative mode of transportation for the residents of Metro Manila.

It is the only water-based transportation in Metro Manila that cruises the Pasig River from Pinagbuhatan in Pasig to Intramuros in the City of Manila.

Precautionary measures are in place to curb the spread of the COVID-19. Likewise, ferry riders will be required to undergo a temperature check upon entering the ferry station and will be required to fill-out the manifest form and accomplish the commuter information sheet. (PIA-NCR)
