Isabela ready to buy COVID-19 vaccines

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, Jan. 6 (PIA) - The Local Chief Executive of this province has assured that the provincial government will be allotting funds for the purchase of COVID -19 vaccine with high efficacy rate once it is available.

Gov. Rodolfo Albano III said that once the national government will allow local government units to buy for their constituents, the provincial government is ready to buy the COVID-19 vaccines from legitimate suppliers recommended by the Department of Health.

Albano said that Vice Gov. Faustino G. Dy III and the Provincial Board Members are supportive to the provincial government's plan in the acquisition of COVID -19 vaccines to ensure the health and safety of IsabeleƱos.

He said priority to be vaccinated against the COVID-19 are medical personnel, security personnel, health workers and the vulnerable young and old population in the province.

Albano has called on all IsabeleƱos to always use face masks and face shields and practice social distancing in public places and follow the standard health protocols while the vaccine is still not available to avoid being infected by the deadly virus. (BME/MGE - PIA-2/Isabela)
