Ifugao PLGU launches water system program for villages

LAGAWE, Ifugao, Jan. 8 (PIA) - - More than 170 villages of the province will soon have a safe potable water sources through the water system development program of the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU) for the promotion of healthy living.
The provincial government kicked off the project with the groundbreaking on January 7 of the water system project for the capitol to provide adequate, safe and potable water for PLGU employees.
Governor Jerry Dalipog said the PLGU has allocated Php80 million budget for the water system program with each barangay allotted a minimum share of Php500,000 for the drilling and construction of the water system. It is targeted that by June 2022, all barangays will be provided with safe potable water system.
“The PLGU will construct the water system and turn-over to the Barangay Local Government Units for them to manage for the community,” he said. (JDP/MBL-PIA CAR, Ifugao)
