QUEZON CITY, Jan. 28 (PIA) -- Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) launched today the Central Business Portal (CBP), an online one-stop shop for registering businesses in a faster and more convenient way.

In accordance to the Republic Act No. 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018, the creation of the CBP aims to eliminate bureaucratic red tape and promote transparency in business transactions.

Business applicants can now log on to https://business.gov.ph to apply for the necessary permits and licenses from national government agencies online, saving time and effort.

Applicants can acquire their Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) certificate of registration for one-person and two-to four-person corporations, as well as register with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) TIN and order of payment.

Social Security System, Pag-IBIG and PhilHealth employer numbers are generated in the system for registrants.

Applicants can also use e-payment to register with and secure a Certificate of Registration (COR) from the BIR.

“This program will promote great transparency and efficiency in the registration of businesses in the country… for a more productive and empowered citizenry,” President Rodrigo Roa Duterte said in his message. (MTQ/PIA-IDPD)
