Cotabato Prov constituents benefit from BARMM govt, JTFC medical

DATU ODIN SINSUAT, Maguindanao, Jan. 26-- A total of 266 villagers in Cotabato Province benefited from the recent medical and minor surgical mission of the Ministry of Health of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MOH-BARMM) in collaboration with the Joint Task Force Central (JTFC) at Pikit Municipal Gymnasium in Pikit, Cotabato.

BARMM Ministry of Health OIC Dr. Ameril Usman said that the activity which was part of the 2nd founding anniversary of BARMM reached out to constituents of the 63 barangays previously under Cotabato Province and now part of BARMM after the 2019 plebiscite.

“Kaisa po ninyo ang Ministry of Health sa pagtaguyod natin ng moral governance ng Bangsamoro Government. Isa lamang ito sa maraming mga activities na ating ginagawa upang ipadama sa ating mamamayan ang serbisyo ng BARMM,” Dr. Usman said as he also underscored the continued quest for peace in the land.

The medical and minor surgical mission consist of different health services like free health check-up, blood sugar testing and blood pressure screening, medical consultation, health teaching, insertion of sub-dermal implant, and circumcision.

Aside from these, the Ministry of Health, together with the elements of the 6th Civil-Military Operations (Kasangga) Battalion, 90th Infantry (Bigkis-Lahi) Battalion, and Naval Forces Reserve Western Mindanao, distributed emergency kits, buntis kits, hygiene kits, male teen kits, and female teen kits. In addition, some beneficiaries received mosquito nets and dental kits.

Lt. Col. Anhouvic Atilano, commanding officer of the 6th CMO emphasized that the Joint Task Force Central Troopers headed by Major General Juvymax Uy, Commander of 6ID, continuously participate in humanitarian missions as these are imperative in attaining peace.

Meanwhile, Cotabato 1st District Board Member Kelly Antao, one of the administrators and caretakers of the 63 barangays in Cotabato, expressed thankfulness to those who are serving instrument in attaining long lasting peace and supporting the programs of the BARMM. (DPAO-6ID)
