Pasig LGU provides free smart tablets to students

PASIG CITY, Dec. 16 (PIA) -- The City Government of Pasig continues to provide free learning gadgets to its students assisting them in their blended learning amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto took to Twitter and said the local government distributed tablets for students from the Rizal Technological University (RTU) and Fatima. The tablets were donated by UGM Mobile.

“Thank you UGM Mobile for generously donating 50 tablets,” Mayor Vico said.

The Pasig LGU has provided tablets and laptops for all its public elementary and high school students that were distributed to them in time for the opening of classes last October.

However, the local chief executive noted that other students who are still in need of gadgets.

“Pero marami pa ring nangangailangan, tulad ng nasa private schls at state colleges. We still have seven tablets left and we are expecting another donor to give next week. Those who need tablets may request it with the Pasig Scholarship Office. Hindi po natin mabibigyan lahat. But will try our best,” said Sotto. (PIA-NCR)
